Solid-particle aerosols are used for research, development and quality management in numerous fields. They are produced by dust generators. In case dry and easy flowing substances are applied, the dust generators of the model series SAG 410 are suitable. They transport the solid material using a dosing belt (VDI 3491-8).

The Dust Disperser SAG 440 has been especially developed to meet the requirements as defined by the guidelines ASHRAE 52.2 and DIN EN ISO 16890-3, DIN EN 779 for testing the performance of particulate air filters.

Due to the particular physical properties of ASHRAE test dust the instrument was adapted to this material. The dust feeder SAG 440 is particularly suited for feeding / dosing dusts containing a certain proportion of fibres and provides excellent results when producing test dust to check separation efficiencies.

The products of the ATM series are used to generate test aerosols with defined properties (VDI 3491). The technological and design solutions of the ATM ensure a high consistency of particle size distribution and particle concentration.

The generated aerosol is highly reproducible. The ATM 220 is powered by compressed air and is therefore particularly suitable for use in the lab or on the filter test stand.

The Atomizer Aerosol Generator ATM 226 is especially suited for clean room and filter testing applications according to international standards. Function test at laminar flow boxes (DIN EN 12469) and cytostatica safety workbenches (DIN 12980), the qualitative test of filters for suspended matter (HEPA and ULPA filters),  and acceptance measurements in clean rooms (according to DIN ISO 14644 and VDI 2083) are a essential necessity for personal security and product safety.

The aerosol generator ATM 228 is a further development of the aerosol generator ATM 226 and serves for the mobile generation of test and calibration aerosols from pure liquids, solutions and suspensions. The generator complies to all requirements of VDI 3491-2.
Aerosol generation is realised by a brushless com-pressor. Accordingly, no external compressed air supply is required. For the purpose of reproducible and long-term stable aerosol generation, the air flow rate is controlled via the pressure drop over the nozzle. This allows also a reproducible and stable generator operation even at very low air flow rates and thus also at lowest particle production rates.
